What to use to protect plastic chairs deteriorationg in the sun?

We have a roof terrace but the plastic chairs seem to deteriorate and become brittle quickly in the sun and rain, is there some sort of spray or cream that can be used to extend the life of the plastic chairs? I was thinking "armor-all" or something maybe?

1. The problem is the UV rays that deteriorate the plastic, if you get a spray paint that is made for plastic it would help protect the plastic longer, but even that will get damaged by the sun after a while.
2. just cover them with something that blocks uv rays.
