So, I'm a thirteen year old girl who's redecorating my bedroom for my 14 b-day. My room is pretty big. Ideas?!? My furniture is going to be white. My mom and I plan to have a little sitting-room type area in one part of my room. My walls are light purple; we prefer not to paint them but might. I like whimsical bedding (go to visionbedding.com to see, but I'm not buying from there cuz it's too expensive), chaise/ lounge chairs, beanbags, and just fun chairs in general. Also, light colors like blue with brown, somewhat modern but NOT modern bedding, and shabby-chic. Sorry, I'm a little picky! ;) Websites are good, but also your own opinions, tips, ideas, or anything helps. Please help me out! Thanks so much.

I need some decorating ideas for a screened in back porch. And the ideas need to be cheap, cheap, cheap!? The area is long and narrow, 8 feet by 23 feet. The long front is screened; the two end walls are beige stucco, like house. Ceiling is white. I'm getting a ceiling fan. I have green indoor-outdoor carpet, a bit worn, but okay. There's a white plastic chaise lounge with green striped cushion and a white plastic table with four chairs. I have place mats and silk tulips on the table. There's one small white plastic table. I don't love the white plastic patio furniture, but it's all I can afford right now. I want to accessorize and add some wall decor to the stucco, if possible. But what? I don't have a green thumb, and I live in Florida. I will add some plants and flowers, but need suggestions. It's hot and humid here. Fabrics fade and mildew. During certain seasons, yellow pollen lies thick as powder over everything. So I have to be practical. It doesn't have to look like Martha Stewart dropped by, but I do need practical, inexpensive suggestions. Ideas, please!!
Which of the following would you be most likely to choose to add to your bedroom decor? 1. new paint or wallpaper 2. psychedelic blacklite posters 3. your County's flag 4. hanging ,mirrored disco ball 5. lava lamp 6. bean bag chair 7. chaise lounge 8. full length mirror 9. GI Joe or Barbie comforter / bed cover 10. glow in the dark stars on the ceiling More than one answer is cool too..=) thanx~

Got a table, only needed the table but it came with 4 iron chairs, I'm trying to come up with ideas of what I can do with the chairs. I was thinking using 2 for extra seating when needed and putting the other 2 together and making sort of a settee/love seat thing or pairing them up and figuring how to make 2 sep. chaise lounges but don't know how that will look or work any ideas/advice? Sorry I guess I should have put this part; the chairs have no cushions or even any butt support at all I need to get the wood then cover (no big deal) and they do not have arms. Thank you everybody/anybody

Where to put new furniture?!?!?!? I'm giving my room a make-over! Yay! My only problem is that I don't know where I should place the new furniture I plan on getting. I'm getting most of my stuff from pbteen. This includes a revolving book-case, a chaise lounge, a corner sofa, a corner desk, a tall vanity set, a coffee table, two chairs that hang from the ceiling, a tri-fold mirror, a vanity mirror that goes on the wall, and a ribbon display case that also goes on the wall. I know this is a lot, but I saved up a lot of money for this. Thevtotal is around $10,000. Please don't say I'm wasting my money, blah, blah, blah, my mind is made up. I do have enough space for this stuff, by the way. I'm also having a loft built in my room. I will keep my bed up there, where I'll sleep, to save space. Plus, it'll look really cool/cute. I don't think I can have the chairs hanging under the loft, because it probably needs my ceiling to support it. Please tell me where I should put the furniture, including the loft. Thanks so much! Here is how my room is shaped:            —————————————————                                                                         I _______                                          __________I                                            I                                                      I I                                                      I I                                                      I I                                                      I I                                                      I I                                                      I ———————————————— The top left is a door, and top right is a window. What degree is required for this job? I really want to be a psychologist. You know, one of those people who chills in an office chair with a pad of paper while someone on a leather chaise-lounge yaks about their problems. The only thing is, I don't know which type of psychology I should look for in my college searches. So far I'm finding things like 'social psychology', and 'counseling', which look about right, but just to be sure: Is there any major or degree that is specifically required to be one of those stereotypical psychologists? or do they even exist? Thanks :) Yeah, I know that every college offers some kind of psychology course. And I know it would take: a while and a bit of money, both of which I, fortunately, have enough of. But I'm not asking about either of those details. I'm asking if there's a specific kind of psychology course or degree or something that I should make sure my college has when I eventually get my SAT scores and start choosing places to apply to. Again, I know I'll need a higher degree than just a B.A. My question is what kind; which psychological field? Just general psychology?

Any opinions/help on the novel I'm writing? I'm 13.? Hey, my name's Ariane, I'm 13 and I live in Adelaide, Australia. I've been working on a novel for a quite a while in my spare time, just out of boredom. I've started quite a few beginnings (some even up to 10,000+ words), taken heaps and heaps of notes in my ring-binder that I carry around everywhere, but I'm having a bit of trouble. Recently I was on holiday in the South of France and was inspired to write (the place is beautiful!). I mapped out all my characters, the plot (but not quite the resolution), the setting, where I want it to begin and so on and so forth. I just don't know what to do. I've started it, edited it, changed the beginning MILLIONS of times but I just can't get happy. I've tried writing the first chapter then going back and doing the prologue/opening paragraph, but... ugh. I'll give you a brief overview: It's an old-fashioned-styled adventure/comic fantasy: a mixture of Lewis Carroll, J.M. Barrie and Enid Blyton. (Maybe even a bit of Lemony Snicket!). It's meant to be very light-hearted and cheerful, filled with many sorts of creatures such as Whirfidgets, Karden Knomes, Berserker Boggarts and Beaming Flutterchumps (you'll find out about them later on). Three children, who live in a sort of orphanage-slash-boarding school (I promise it's not as cliche as it sounds!) decide to explore the old boarding house's hidden corners when they're stuck inside due to the strange change of weather. In the garrett on the seventh floor, they come across many beautiful, ornate antiques: old gramophones, a chaise lounge, mirrors and hairpins and dusty Venetian masks... you know the sort. But then one of them finds an intricately-carved table lamp which has just one strange oddity about it: it's got wings. (Sounds ridiculous, I know.) Known as a Beaming Flutterchump, the lamp takes them to Magnificious, Realm of the Sortilege (think The Wishing Chair by Enid Blyton), where they come across many peculiar creatures and places. The kingdom is under threat of the Badger Repression - living in the Hildegarde Noir, Adonis Badger is trying to rid the land of humanlings (aka children). A resistance group (The Huggermugger Coterie) send the children on the almighty quest of relinquishing the villain (I haven't completely mapped it out yet...) and the villain's wife, Ursuline, is really the puppeteer behind the marionette, if you know what I mean. Anyway, there are a lot of tricky challenges and places they stop along the way... Scurvy Shwashbucklers, who sail a ship called the Descietful Corsair, and lure animals and people onto their ship so they can feed on their innards... Scabblers, which are members of the SCAB (Society of the Celebrated Adonis Badger)... and a lot of exciting things happen. It still needs a lot of work. Here's a bit of an excerpt of what I've got as Ch 1 so far (be prepared for a long read!): "Tuesday Pepper was a relatively normal thirteen-year-old, with an even amount of limbs and the type of imagination only a child could have, but there was simply something missing. Fortunately, it wasn’t her shadow. She had checked twice already – and besides, being the adventurous sort of person that she was, Tuesday would have been delighted if her shadow had gone astray simply for the fun of having to find it again. She most certainly hadn’t lost her mind. Although her school teachers were quite often debating whether or not her eccentricity was a good thing, Tuesday was also very clever. She could count to cent soixante-quatre in French and knew the exact spelling for the word Mesopotamia (even though most of the other children in her class, including snotty Florence Biggleton, didn’t). In actual fact, what dear Tuesday was missing was probably the most horrific thing a child could lose. It was her two parents. Mr and Mrs Pepper had been skilled cryptozoologists (which is just a fancy term here for someone who searches for creatures that are probably not real and probably do not exist), but had regrettably disappeared when young Tuesday had been just the carefree age of two. They’d been on one of their peculiar expeditions in a place she had never been quite sure the name of. If you’re as determined an adventure as young Tuesday Pepper was, you’ll know this can be quite a bother – but regardless of this niggling lack of fact, Tuesday had sworn to herself that, one day, she would find them. After the terrible news of her parents’ disappearance had returned, baby Tuesday had been planted into the home of her incurably-snotty aunt and uncle, Mr and Mrs Mulch, both of whom wouldn’t dare venture within three feet of something diagnosed ‘unsanitary’ let alone a dirty nappy. In turn they placed her in the care of their Scandinavian housekeeper, Astrid. And, as you might expect, Tuesday didn’t grow to love the toffee-nosed old couple – who had decided that they would personally illegalise paprika because it was ‘much too orange’ – but their sixty-eight-year-old, heavily-accen Sorry, the rest is cut off :( It gets better, I promise! If anyone wants to read the rest, I can email it to you! -Ariane Oh yeah, and the boarding school's called 'St Beavery's Primary Institution for the Parentless and Peculiar'. Just thought you'd wanna know. And the other two protagonists are Felix Pikery and Leonard Whittlecomb... Felix is, in essence, a casuist and is super-intelligent, and Leo is the oldest and perhaps most noisy of the group, his marvellous social skills enabling him to start the most random conversations with anyone whom he fancied (whether it be an intense discussion on the textiles of cross-stitching or a heated debate on how to properly bake rigatoni). If you want to know anything else, just ask! I have an interesting medley of staff and characters cooking up! -Ariane And another thing - you're right, why is it always 13 year olds writing novels? Ha, ha - maybe it's because it's the beginning of our adolescent life, and then WHAM! we're hit with the urge to become something brilliant really, really fast. Nah, actually, I don't know. You'd be better off asking someone with a bit of experience on the whole science of sociology (if that's the correct term)... Thanks for the comments so far! Sorry for ANOTHER addition: but, if any of you are interested in reading on, I've posted the rest of Ch1 and a bit of Ch2 here - http://tuesdaypepper.blogspot.com/ Feedback, please! Thankyou Oh my gosh, I'm getting annoying: but to add more insight I've added this after the line '...simply for the fun of having to find it again.' --- "In the small town of Archduke Archibald (Tuesday had once made the remark), there were many more exciting places than Wendy’s closet it could hide."
Where can I get a sofa that flips out easily to create a big TV lounging bed? I am looking to purchase a new sofa. I am looking for one with a chaise longue on one end and with a bottom that easily flips up to create a sort of double bed. I don't want a normal sofa bed where you have to fold out a big metal contraption. I have found one at Tesco direct which is ideal https://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-6703.aspx However, I need a matching chair which Tesco does not do. Does anyone know where I can get such a sofa? Thanks
