How much does the normal computer chair hold in pounds? I'm almost 400 lbs and all my chairs keep breaking? I just broke my 4th chair this year. Don't bother telling me to diet, I tried and cant. I need gastric bypass but cant afford it. I even bought a 2oo dollar chair and after about a month or 2 it broke. How to stop chairs from rolling in classroom? I would like to pick your brains about some chairs I have in my classroom at the high school where I work. The chairs are rolling office chairs and the floor is linoleum. The wheels can be removed, but, without the wheels, the chair is not usable to sit on because the pole in the center of the chair base comes down farther than where the wheels are attached. There is no money in the budget for new chairs (there are 33 of them), rugs or cushions under the chairs, or to carpet the room. The wheels are made of plastic. There is a small metal axle between the two sides of a wheel leaving space between them. The top half (but not the sides) of the wheel unit is covered by a plastic outer shell. Anyone have any ideas? Where can I get Dinningroom chairs repaired? We have 4 padded chairs with arms. They are on a pedestal with 4 rollers. Something in the pedestal on 2 of them is either broken or loose. When you sit on the chair it leans to the front or the back. We have tried to find a way to tighten them, but, it may need a special tool to get down inside the pedestal. I even took the pedestal off the bottom of the chair to see if it could be reached from the other side.
